Hi Bluejay Family! I am Patsy Owens. This is my 2nd year as Assistant Principal at BES. I am honored and excited to serve you in this capacity.
I started my career at Blandford Elementary when it opened in 2006. I had the privilege of teaching Adapted Curriculum Special Education for 14 years. I transitioned to 3rd grade General Curriculum Special Education where I taught for 2 years. My time at BES has brought me tremendous JOY and countless memories.
I have been married to my husband for 10 years. We have two daughters. Our 10th grade daughter attends SEHS. She enjoys cheerleading, and soccer. She is looking forward to driving very soon. Our 8th grade daughter attends SEMS. She enjoys horseback riding, Color Guard, and FFA. We stay busy watching our girls enjoy the things they love. As a family we enjoy boating, traveling, and being outdoors.
I am excited to be partnering with you as we embark on a new school year. The adventure of 2023 -2024 awaits us!
I am currently in my second year as Assistant Principal at Blandford Elementary. Prior to that, I taught fourth grade for four years and second grade for thirteen years. I am married with two wonderful children who are currently in 8th and 10th grade. We enjoy spending time outside and playing with our Dachshund, Scout. I am looking forward to a productive and memorable year here at BES! Please let me know if I can be of any assistance to you and your family.
It is my pleasure to continue to serve you as Instructional Supervisor/AP this year! This is my sixteenth year in education. Prior to becoming the instructional supervisor, I served Blandford as a classroom teacher in both 4th and 2nd grades and most recently as the EIP interventionist. My educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education from Valdosta State University and a Masters in Curriculum Instruction.
My husband Paul and I are blessed to be parents of two awesome little people, Eleanor and Lincoln. They are the loves of my life. I have the same expectations for them as I do your children, who I love as if they are my own. I want to see them excel and become productive human beings, who have ample opportunity to become whatever they want to be when they grow up.
It is my privilege to serve Blandford Elementary and the many talented teachers and students here! I look forward to interacting with all stakeholders in our school community this year!
Dear BES Students, Parents, Staff, and Community Stakeholders:
As Blandford Elementary School's Principal, it is my pleasure to welcome everyone back for another great year at BES! From the first day of being a teacher at Blandford Elementary in 2006, I have always recognized the commitment and dedication put forth by our faculty/staff, students, and parents. Additionally, it is our mission to help every child feel welcomed, connected, and a part of our Blue Jay family.
Parents, we are very proud of what we have accomplished at BES and we will continue to put our students first! We will continue to strive to challenge each student to grow in his or her academic abilities. At Blandford Elementary, our staff are passionate about the value of education and compassionate toward the students, family, and community they serve.
It is my desire to ensure that each year continues with the tradition of excellence! With the ongoing support of our parents, and the consistent hard work of our students and staff, we look forward to continued success! Together, as a faculty, student body, and community, we will make a difference in the lives of the boys and girls at Blandford Elementary School!
