As your new principal, I am honored to join the Blandford Elementary School community. With
over 20 years of experience in education, I have dedicated my career to supporting students
and teachers in the classroom and beyond.
My journey began as a middle school special education teacher in the Bulloch County School
System. I later moved to the Effingham County School System, where I spent 11 years as a
special education teacher, football coach, and track coach. From there, I transitioned to Wayne County High School, serving eight years as a special education and physical education teacher,
football and track coach, and assistant athletic director. Following that, I became an assistant
principal at Wayne County High before serving as the principal at Arthur Williams Middle School for the past two years.
During my time at AWMS, we celebrated significant achievements, including record-breaking growth in reading scores — the highest in the county and the school’s history. Additionally, our school was recognized by the state superintendent for exceptional growth in math, and we improved our ranking within our RESA district.
On a personal note, I am the proud father of two exceptional children — Carsyn, a sophomore
at Truett McConnell University, and Collyn, a high school sophomore.
My mission as principal is to create a safe, supportive learning environment where students can thrive academically and socially. I am excited to build strong partnerships with students, staff,
and families as we work together to help every child succeed.
