My name is Patsy Owens, I am a proud Effingham County native. I attended South Effingham Elementary School, South Effingham Middle School, and graduated from South Effingham High School in 2002.
I continued my education at Georgia Southern University, where I earned my Bachelor of Science in Special Education in 2006. In 2019, I earned my Master of Education in Educational Leadership from Valdosta State University.
Outside of school, my greatest joy is spending time with my husband, Eric, and our daughters, Emma and Eliza. I also enjoy gardening, cooking, spending time on the water, traveling, and making memories with family and friends.
My faith is an important part of my life. I attend Connection Church Rincon, where I enjoy serving in the Kids Ministry and on the Hospitality Team. I love building relationships and serving others, both within my church and throughout our community.
I am entering my 21st year in education. I began my career as a special education teacher, where I spent 16 years advocating for students with diverse learning needs before transitioning into school leadership. After serving four years as assistant principal at Blandford, I now have the privilege of leading the school that has meant so much to me throughout my career.
Blandford Elementary is known for its tradition of excellence, inclusive culture, and strong sense of family. I am passionate about building positive relationships with students, staff, and families while creating a learning environment where every child is supported, challenged, and inspired to succeed. I believe the strongest schools are built on trust, collaboration, and a shared commitment to helping every student reach their full potential.
