Individual counseling consists of prevention and/or intervention activities to meet students’ immediate and future needs to help them be successful at school. These needs can be necessitated by events and conditions in students’ lives and the school climate and culture.
Individual school counseling should not be confused with ongoing therapy. If a student should need more intense, on-going counseling, I will gladly share known community resources to receive that help. Students may be seen by their school counselor by student, parent, teacher, or administrative requests.
